The easiest way to get eco-friendly today
Australian organisation Planet Ark founded National Recycling Week to improve the positive environmental outcomes of recycling by increasing community awareness, collection rates and minimising contamination of recycled materials. Planet Ark's initiatives and education programs for schools, workplaces and the wider community are helping to make recycling mainstream and to raise awareness about the benefits of recycling. Easy tips for recycling
Living eco-friendly is work in progress. We're learning about consuming conscious daily but what we know is that it's really simple when you do three things:
- Reduce. Do you really need it? If not, don't use it. Consuming products made of new raw materials cost the planet's resources.
- Reuse. Reusing jars as food containers and repairing clothes are some ideas. Seeing how many uses you can get out of a product saves you time and money!
- Recycle. Instead of tossing rubbish into the bin, toss recyclables into a recycling bin – it literally takes 2 seconds. Don't know what to recycle? Watch this video on what is recyclable.
Why care? Here's a scary fact...
More than 1 million species face potential extinction as a result of disappearing habitats, changing ecosystems, and acidifying oceans due to pollution.
Let's get smart about how we consume. Using products like the Brazen Adventurer eco towel helps get waste out of landfill. Please share this with your friends to make this world a better place. It's up to all of us to take action now!
